"I enjoy traveling...but I love to get home and still think Idaho is a 'piece of heaven' on Earth."
Frank Martin was born in Idaho and has lived primarily in the Pacific Northwest.
He spent much of his early childhood exploring the region's many mountains and backcountry lakes in an old Jeep with his family and grandparents. That's where he discovered his love and appreciation for the natural beauty of this part of the world.
Why he loves north Idaho
Frank and his family live within minutes of Lake Coeur d' Alene, which was selected as one of the "Ten Most Beautiful Lakes in the World." This location is within easy driving distance to such places as the Canadian Rockies, Glacier National Park and the Puget Sound near Seattle, Washington--all of which provide world-class photo opportunities.
Education and Experience
- Frank graduated from Spokane Falls Community College in 1986 with a degree in Visual Media.
- He worked from 1986-2001 as the supervising Corporate Photographer for Telect, Inc., a manufacturer and global supplier of fiber-optic & telecommunication products.
- His large-format photography was used at the industry's largest tradeshow events, including SUPERCOMM in Atlanta and ITU World Telecom in Geneva, Switzerland.
- His photography is still used in advertising materials translated in six languages.
- Frank opened his own studio in 2001, offering stock, commercial, corporate and wedding photography.
- Frank's work has been used in displays at the Spokane International Airport and in advertising materials for the:
